Maritime School of the West Indies

The Maritime School of the West Indies in St.Maarten-St.Martin is the oldest official and IYT affiliated Maritime School in the entire Caribbean. We run monthly courses like the full STCW, the Refresher courses, Small Powerboat and RIB, VHF and many others.

WE NEVER CANCEL A SCHEDULED COURSE !

We schedule courses from October to half May ( last courses are in May )

The school instructs also courses like the Master 200 Ton and several others.

All the courses are MCA and trough IYT all over the world recognized.

We work with the best instructors already during many years, our first aid instructor as an example, is a docter, our fire fighting instructor was a chief at the official fire fighting station etc.

The school is located in the Simpson Bay lagoon on the French side, easy accesible by tender from all the mega yacht marinas on the Dutch and French side with our dinghy dock at the school. Also local busses from Dutch and French side are not a problem. There is a crew house closeby the school.

We can do some courses on board the mega yachts and at other Caribbean Islands on request.
