Approved Engine Course Training

The AEC1 is the industry-standard qualification for small vessel engineers and is often the minimum requirement for working as a junior or sole engineer on yachts under 300GT. It covers the essential knowledge and hands-on skills needed for safe operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and auxiliary systems. Topics include: Diesel engine operation and components (2-stroke & 4-stroke) Auxiliary systems, propulsion, and routine maintenance Basic electrics, fault finding, and tool use Safety procedures, pollution prevention, and emergency response This course is delivered at our training centre in Phuket under IYT STCW 2010 approval.
