This STCW course is essential for crew assigned to provide first-line medical care on board. It is a required prerequisite for the Medical Care course and a key step toward senior qualifications such as Officer of the Watch (OOW). Course Content Emergency response skills for trauma, resuscitation, and casualty stabilisation Assessment and monitoring of head, spinal, and musculoskeletal injuries Maritime-specific protocols for burns, bleeding, poisoning, shock, and temperature-related conditions Use of shipboard medical kits and procedures for obtaining radio medical advice Delivered at our MCA-approved training facility in Phuket, Thailand.
