Course overview

During the advanced course students will prepare and undertake a passage during both daylight and darkness. More advanced boat handling techniques will be developed to help skipper a powerboat and its crew in more challenging conditions. The course also takes into account some students will go on to work in a commercial environment so is good preparation for the Advanced Powerboat exam. The modules included are: - Preparation for sea Boat handling (including rough water techniques) Passage making and responsibility as skipper Pilotage Meteorology Rules of the road Use of engines Emergency situations Night cruising For more information please visit our website on: - https://www.jetskiandpowerboattraining.co.uk/rya-advanced-powerboat/ Entry Requirements Candidates should be competent to the standard of the Intermediate Powerboat Certificate with a thorough knowledge of the navigation and chart work to the level of Coastal Skipper/RYA Yachtmaster Shorebased certificate.
